December is usually a quiet month for me, but this year it's hopping! I'll be off to New Jersey twice, Boston once, and then at the end of the month Florida for an entire weekend of dance and fun that is FREE for attendees!

7:30-10:00pm (plus). Bluesy Tuesy at the NESFA Clubhouse library in Somerville! Lesson (not me – I don’t teach blues!) from 7:30-8:30, then I will be DJing blues from 8:30 until at least 10:00, possibly longer (possibly a lot longer!) if the dance floor is full! Indoors with multiple air cleaners going; masks optional. Sliding scale donation, $5 to $25. Volunteers get free admission! Directions are at the NESFA Clubhouse page.

Christmas at Historic Speedwell
10:00am-3:00pm daily. Informal 1860s dancing to live music as part of a larger Christmas celebration at this historical site. $10/person admission to the entire event; tickets here.
Friday-Sunday, December 27-29th ~ Tallahassee, Florida
Tallahassee Bicentennial Birthday Bash (Facebook event) for Theater with a Mission FREE EVENT!!!!
Three days of dances, dramatic interludes, games, crafts, and other celebrations for the 200th anniversary of the city of Tallahassee. I will be teaching and calling (to recorded music) all the dance parts, including Friday night’s Dance Through Time: 200 Years of Tallahassee. Saturday’s 1824 Territorial Ball, Sunday’s Family Dance Party, and the associated workshops. Completely beginner-friendly! More information at the Theater with a Mission website.
