Steampunk Dance Workshop at Chicon 8 (Facebook group)
7:00-8:00pm. Workshop on my own steampunk choreographies: historically-inspired figures set to Abney Park music - probably "Wanderlust" (USA premiere!) and "Overboard". Masks and vaccination required. Limited to attending members of Chicon 8, the 80th World Science Fiction Convention. See their website for membership information.

Workshops & Dance (Facebook event) for Chicagoland English Country Dance
1:00-10:00pm. Two dance workshops and an evening dance with live music by Jonathan Whitall and Meg Dedolph. Workshops: (1) steps for early 18th century hornpipe country dances and (2) cotillions. Evening dance: a potpourri of dances from the 17th to 21st centuries, modern style. Masks and vaccination required. $15 per workshop, $20 for evening dance, $40 for the full day. 7:30-10:00pm (plus). Lesson with Julie Brown from 7:30-8:30, then I will be DJing blues from 8:30 until at least 10:00, possibly longer if the dance floor is full! Outdoors if the weather is good, indoors with excellent ventilation if not. Masks and vaccination required for indoors. Sliding scale donation, $5 to $20.
