Dances of Bridgerton: Time Travelers, Take Two!
Sunday, April 13, 2025 ~ 2:00-4:00 pm ~ Middletown, Connecticut
Dearest Gentle Reader,
You are cordially invited to learn to dance like the the Bridgertons at Dances of Bridgerton! Join Susan de Guardiola in Middletown, Connecticut, for a class on authentic dances from the fabulous Bridgerton TV series and its prequel Queen Charlotte plus the other "Regency" work of Bridgerton choreographer Jack Murphy! This month we will once more practice the lovely opening quadrille from the Doctor Who episode "Rogue", in which the lead characters visit a Bridgerton-like Regency ball in homage to Bridgerton and the mutual fandom of the various showrunners. A few seconds of the dance may be seen at the beginning of the "Rogue" trailer here. A few thoughts from Jack Murphy about working on this episode may be found here (scroll down). Time permitting, we will also review at least one other dance from previous workshops and learn some authentic historical Regency-era dancing for contrast!
Period/Bridgerton costume is welcome but not required; comfortable dance clothes are fine. Please bring clean shoes to protect the dance floor. Flat shoes with leather soles will be easiest to dance in -- no spike heels, please!
No previous dance experience is required and no partner is necessary. All dances will be fully taught.
The class fee is $18.00 per person, in cash at the door. Correct change is appreciated! Pre-registration is closed.
Class will be held on Sunday, April 13th, from 2:00-4:00pm at Vinnie's Jump & Jive, 635 Main Street, Middletown, CT 06457. Note: 635 is the correct street number. Some apps give an incorrect number.
