A quick announcement for readers in California or who travel for vintage dance weeks:
I will be teaching this June at the San Diego Vintage Dance Week on the Queen Mary (which is in Long Beach, not San Diego). The details are still to be determined, but probably two classes a day plus a lecture at some point.
The week as a whole features fabulous evening events -- a 1950s Tiki party, a 1910s ball, an 1890s-1900s ball, and a 1920s-1940s ball, plus three other instructors who are absolute top teachers and wonderful people: Richard Powers, Joan Walton, and Joel Plys. The Queen Mary is an amazing venue -- a 1930s cruise ship permanently docked as a floating hotel.
I've attended two other events the San Diego crew put on (in 2002 and 2004) and I expect this will be another marvelous event!
