For enthusiasts of the 1910s and 1920s, here are two more dance opportunities coming up soon in the Boston area on the weekend of January 22 & 23rd:

Soldiers & Sweethearts -- a Civil War Valentine Ball, New Haven, CT (Saturday, February 5, 2011)

Please join us in New Haven, Connecticut on Saturday, February 5, 2011, for a Civil War Valentine's Day Ball!  The ball will feature music by the noted dance trio, Spare Parts, with precepting by Susan de Guardiola and delicious Victorian refreshments.  Our site is the beautiful Pratt Hall, just blocks from the historic Yale campus and half a block from the New Haven Green.  Due to the size of the hall, attendance is limited to 70 people; admission at the door will be on a space-available basis only.

A pre-ball formal dinner option at a nearby restaurant is also available, and a hotel block has been arranged at the Omni Hotel, only three blocks from the event site.

Advance registration is $35/person or $50/couple, with a special 21-and-under rate of $20.  The dinner is $39.  Dinner reservations must be received by January 28th, and hotel block reservations must also be made by that date to get our rate.  Payment may be made by mail or online by Paypal.
